FLIGHT MODE
Naomi Campbell’s germ-free flight routine (pictured) went viral after she shared it on Youtube, complete with gloves, antibacterial wipes, a face mask and personal seat cover. Here
are some of our own rituals:
“I always find a song specific to that trip to play for take-off and landing – so whenever I hear it after the trip, it brings back happy travel memories. Recently, it was Kacey Musgraves’ Oh, What a World while flying in and out of Tokyo. Very
cheesy, but effective!”

“First things first is the outfit. If
I’m flying long-haul, I wear my silk wide-leg pyjamas by Equipment with chunky sneakers so I can feel comfortable and chic (and, let’s be honest, wear compression stockings without anyone noticing). I still find
travelling a treat – being miles above all my worries and cares – and I try to look up what the in-flight entertainment will be before I board, so I can look forward to watching a film or set aside time to read a new book. As Naomi says: ‘I love being in the air. I love being everywhere but nowhere at the same time.’”

“I am way too prepared when it comes to heading abroad – I always have a bag packed full of emergency necessities. Channelling my inner cotton-wool parent, I have everything from baby wipes and cold-sore cream, to anti-nausea and toothache cream. The list is infinite, and if you need anything, I’m your go-to girl. Each time I head to the States I make a trip to Walgreens to replenish this kit and I don’t think I’ll ever change.” – Maxine Fourie, digital content producer
