Two milestones for health firm

-

It’s been a very good year for Health for Life Community Health Store, with two big reasons to celebrate.

‘‘We’re really proud of our Feilding team achieving Retailer of the Year in the Business Awards on our 20th anniversary year,’’ says owner Chris Torr.

While he and his team of certified natural health retailers have been supporting the natural health needs of the community from Fergusson St since 2008, there’s an impressive enterprise behind the Feilding store.

Health for Life was launched by the Torr family, Chris, Gail and Angela, when they opened their first store in The Plaza Palmerston North in 1997.

Since then the company has grown to a group of four stores in the lower North Island, with branches also at Coastlands Paraparaumu and central Wellington.

Managed by the Torr Group based in Feilding, they employ 25 staff, are totally locally owned and operated and are big on supporting the local community.

They are no stranger to winning awards, having already won 40 local, regional and national awards for excellence in retail.

They’ve grown from strength to strength, due in no small part to the emphasis they place on their core values that includes building strong relationships with customers, staff and brand partners.

‘‘We’re committed to continuous improvement and we’re highly customer focused.’’

Health for Life’s core advice is to eat well and supplement wisely.

Their qualified and experienced staff, many employed for most of the last 20 years, specialise in providing cost-effective solutions, tailored to their customers’ individual needs from an extensive range of trusted brands.

‘‘Thank you to all of our wonderful customers who have placed their confidence in us to help them make the right choices for their supplement and natural skin care programmes.’’
