The new model for Feilding Intermediate School being introduced by new principal Diane Crate sounds excellent to me.

While the ’’interest centre’’ style of learning will be an interesting change for pupils, it is the introduction of a fitness boot camp and shared meal in the mornings that I most like the sound of.

It’s such a simple concept, that’s easy to implement and has huge rewards in promoting health, wellbeing and teamwork for the children.

I’m interested to hear how the changes go.

Meanwhile, it’s great to see things progressing for the Bulls Community Centre with an injection of funding for the project.

From what Rangitı¯kei mayor Andy Watson says, after a few funding rejections, this latest boost will actually ensure the project moves forward.

Although it is unfortunate the funding rejections have delayed the project, which I believe was set to start construction by now.
