Music group going local

Taihape Music Group is going local for its November 9 concert.

Those taking part include piano students of Helen Gordon and Ava Woollaston, sopranos Susan Benson, Clare Grattan, Colleen Deighton and bass Ray Wesselson.

Myra Fleury will entertain on piano accordion and harmonica with Christmas themes. Pianist Helen Gordon will play solos by Bach and Chopin.

The concert follows a series of recitals by professional artists-organist John Wells, pianist Antony Peebles and cellist Christopher Hutton.

It will be held in the Taihape Women’s Club in Tui Street, starting at 7.30pm.
