Celebrating our successes
You will see the coverage from the 2016 Pukekohe Business Awards evening in the Franklin County News over the next few weeks and I must say it really was a fabulous evening.
The awards were attended by over 300 people from the Business Community all dressed in their finest and enjoying their night out. Our MC, Jackie Clarke was outstanding, and all the nominees were extremely gracious and supportive of each other.
Judging was based on a mystery shopper’s report (worth 50 per cent), submissions by businesses (worth 40 per cent), and voting by the public (worth 10 per cent). Every year the judges are overwhelmed by the creativity and effort the nominees put into their submissions. We continue to see improvements in the presentation and content of the submissions which makes the judge’s role very difficult.
Voting was up 7 per cent on 2015 with over 6900 votes received in total.
To confirm the results, the winners are;
Supreme Winner, Hospitality - Albert’s Kitchen Retail – Designer Flowers Automotive, Trade, Manufacturing and Design – Kitchen Inspirations
Health and Beauty – Counties Fitness and Health Club
Business Services – White Rose Cars
Most Votes Received – Ginger Indian Cuisine with nearly 700 votes received.

FASHION SHOW
On October 29 the business association is running our third annual Pukekohe fashion show to showcase some of the amazing fashion that is available locally.
This event is also in aid of Franklin Family Support, with proceeds from ticket sales being donated to their cause. We have some amazing spot prizes to be won, as well as awesome goody bags! We look forward to a sell-out event.
Make sure you keep an eye out for tickets going on sale in September. We are also on the hunt for models, particularly women sized 14 – 18. Please contact us if you are interested in volunteering your modelling skills for this event.
