Pukekohe buses to change

- ALICE PARMINTER CHANGES BY TOWN

Bus timetables are changing in Franklin this weekend.

From October 30 at 4.45am, the new Southern Network will be up and running throughout South Auckland.

The changes will affect bus services throughout Pukekohe and Waiuku. Bus routes and timetables will change, and bus numbers have been renumbered.

Some people will now need to connect with another bus or train to complete their journey.

More than 30 new bus stops have been installed throughout the region, and some stops have been closed or moved. Posters advising of the changes have been put up at all affected bus stops.

The changes come as Pukekohe’s new transport hub is built beside Pukekohe train station. Once completed, Pukekohe buses will stop at the hub to allow transfers to the train system.

Details on the changes and new timetables in the Franklin district can be found on Auckland Transport’s website at https://at.govt.nz/projectsroadworks/new-public-transport-network/newnetwork-for-pukekohe-and-waiuku/
