Halloween disco night

-

Alistair McNab and Elton Tukiri, pictured, are ready for another spooky night of fun as Pukekawa Playcentre gets ready to hold its annual Halloween Disco on Saturday October 29.

Held from 5pm till 8pm, this fun family event has been held for the last two years as a major fundraiser for the small playcentre.

The money raised is used for new play equipment for the tamariki, aged 0 to six years.

Amie Morgan, president of Pukekawa Playcentre, said the children helped with decoration making in the weeks leading up to the disco.

‘‘We find this to be a great way to connect with the community, building on relationships made as well as forming new ones,’’ she said.

‘‘Our tamariki enjoy the entire process, from making decorations to getting dressed up and having a fun night of dancing and playing with their friends and family.’’

The evening will include a sausage sizzle, baking, face painting and glow sticks for sale. There will be prizes for best dressed. All ages are welcome and there will be games to entertain the kids.

There is $3 door entry, and spot prizes will be given away through the night. The disco will be held at the Opuatia Community Hall in Otuiti Rd.

For more information on the evening contact Pukekawa Playcentre on 09 233 4181.
