BUSINESS AS USUAL

The V8s return to Pukekohe this coming weekend. We want to make it really clear to our local residents that the people who come to watch the races do not clog up the CBD and our local retailers would love to see you out and about in town – business as usual.

For fans of the V8s we have a competition on our Facebook page running until tomorrow. Get online and check it out for the chance to win tickets to the event.

FASHION SHOW

We would like to thank everyone that attended our fashion parade on October 29 and also all our showcasing businesses, hair and makeup artists, MC Jackie O’Fee, volunteer models, Franklin Family Support, as well as our generous sponsors that donated items for the goody-bags or spot prizes, and those who helped push ticket sales.

Photos from the evening will be available on our website, so you can remember what your favourite outfits were.

If you have any feedback please get in touch with us, we’d love to know your thoughts.

We will shortly be making a donation to Franklin Family Support from the proceeds of ticket sales so thank you to all that attended once again.

CHRISTMAS TREE SCAVENGER HUNT

This Christmas we are bringing back the scavenger hunt promotion.

There will be 40 wooden trees displayed at local businesses which will have a number that scavengers will have to find and complete the form to go into the draw to win cash prizes just in time for Christmas.

The entry form can be found in the Franklin County News on December 8, from participating businesses and on our website from November 28.

CHRISTMAS PARADE

A reminder that all the information about the Pukekohe Christmas Parade is available on our website, including entry forms. As a major sponsor of this event we congratulate the Combined Services Clubs on their organisation of this event and hope to see large crowds supporting the parade on December 4. Farming in New Zealand is a tough business with many challenges beyond the farmer’s control - environmental, economic, and market lead.

The financial numbers, however, are one thing a farmer can have some degree of influence over.

We know that most farmers just want to be farmers, but by owning their numbers and being in a position to make good plans and sound financial decisions, a farmer can directly influence the profitability of their business. This is where Figured can come in.

Figured is a complete cloudbased financial management software program for farmers. Its online software provides farmers with a better way to financially manage their farming operation and includes a number of tools that work hand-in-hand with Xero to help farmers improve their farms financial performance and profits.

Figured is the only farm accounting tool available that gives the farmer, along with their accountant, farm adviser and banker, access to real-time data meaning the whole farming team can collaborate using the same financial information from wherever they are working and can act together to make faster and better informed decisions.

The key features of Figured software are -

Always have a clear picture of your cashflow – track livestock movements, crop or milk production and operating expenses Production reporting at a glance Scenario planning. Campbell Tyson is teaming up with BNZ and Figured to present a complimentary seminar for farmers in any farming industry to showcase how Figured financial management software can save time and help make better business decisions.
