Golden Gala welcomes all Franklin community
Face-painting, food, fun games and a paintball alley.
It’ll be a great time for the whole family - and the whole Franklin community is being invited to join in the fun.
Valley School is celebrating its 50th anniversary in Pukekohe this year with a Golden Gala day on Saturday, November 12 from 10am till 2pm.
And the whole Franklin community is welcome to come along for a fun, family day out.
Activities at the gala will include face-painting, pony rides and a paintball alley.
All the pupils in the school will be getting behind the festivities.
Those keen to grab a bargain will be able to head along to the garage sale section, or take part in the quick-fire raffles.
The gala will host food stalls, along with other stalls selling fresh produce and native plants.
Along with the Golden Gala event, there will be a 50th anniversary mix and mingle evening held on November 18 - for former pupils to share their memories and photos from their time at the school.
On November 19, there will be an open day from 10am till 2pm, where all past and present parents, pupils, staff, BOT members, committee members and PTA members are welcome to attend.
Jo Chapman, of Mike Pero Real Estate in Pukekohe, said Hellers were donating 960 sausages for the gala event.
‘‘Pukekohe’s older Countdown is donating all the bread and tomato sauce; and I intend to run spot prizes,’’ she said.
Chapman, along with her fellow Mike Pero colleague Felice Broom, will be organising the sausage sizzle and a bouncy castle for the gala day.
