It’s been a big week for transport planning in Pukekohe.

On Sunday, PM Bill English announced the National Party’s $130 million investment in electrification of rail between Pukekohe and Papakura - great news for local commuters.

You can read more about this on P4.

Read Andy Baker’s column on P5 to find out more.

But what’s not so positive is the state of Pukekohe’s ‘dangerous when wet’ footpaths - see P1. What are your thoughts? Do you think Auckland Transport should be doing more to make these pavers safer?
