The Blast to the Past event date has changed to Saturday, November 11.

We are really excited about this year’s Blast to the Past event, being held at the new Waiuku Sports Park which is the Waiuku Rugby Club grounds, 34 King St, which promises a fantastic show, even bigger and more variety than in previous years.

From 6pm enjoy live entertainment, a huge craft and food market and kids carnival with attractions we have never been able to have before due to room restraints.

The spectacular 15+ minute fireworks display will take place at approx 8.45pm, light dependent.

This event is only able to happen this year due to some very generous sponsorship from some Waiuku businesses - Sam Wulff from the Waiuku Business Park ‘‘a better place to do business’’, Waiuku New World, Franklin Local Board, a business owner that wants to remain anonymous and the Waiuku Business & Development Association.

As you can imagine these events cost thousands of dollars to put on and there are not many events where you can attend for free which is what we want to continue to do to allow all families to attend.

We have asked for a gold coin donation in past events but the donations have been really quite minimal so please donate to the success of ongoing events in our town.

This is the only professional public fireworks display to celebrate Guy Fawkes this year in the South Auckland area.

Mark it on your calendar and don’t miss out on this fantastic evening of family entertainment.

No dogs, alcohol or glass permitted at this event.

Rain date will Sunday, November 12.
