FROM THE EDITOR
Come on Franklin - time is fast running out to get nominating for the Franklin’s Finest People of the Year awards. Deadline for final nominations is almost here, and we want to make sure all who deserve recognition for their efforts and work in 2017 - young and older - are acknowledged. Perhaps it’s a teacher, a student, a club coach, a community volunteer, a valued worker, an athlete, a talented musician - these awards are open to all who punch above their weight and go that extra mile for others. It’s easy to nominate - just fill out the form on P12 in today’s paper and email it julie.kaio@fairfaxmedia; post it to Franklin County News, PO Box 14 Pukekohe, 2340; or drop it into the office at 217 King St, Pukekohe. Nominations can be anonymous and everyone who nominates goes into the draw to win a $500 Mitre 10 Mega voucher. How cool would that be? And how cool would to be to salute those in our community that go that extra mile - these awards are the perfect vehicle to do that, with the award winners getting the public recognition they deserve.
