Clockwise from top left Jane Lyons Jane is a food writer and stylist who created the beautiful Healing Foods recipes on page 80. Jane also works for the Garden to Table programme, which is changing the way children approach and think about food – teaching them about growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing fresh, seasonal food. Her go-to cuisine is Italian. “I love making a big rustic plate of fresh pasta with lots of garlic, chilli, parmesan, lemon zest and pangrittata loaded on. And a good glug of olive oil. So simple but so good!” Josh Griggs Josh Griggs is a commercial lifestyle photographer from Auckland. He photographed Good’s 50th issue celebration cakes, as well as the healing foods in this issue, and quips: “Shooting so much great food has definitely rubbed off – I’m a big fan of eating now. Whether it’s trying the new restaurant/bar/café down the road or having friends over for a weekend feast, sharing food with good people is hard to beat.” Serena Stevenson Serena is a documentary photographer with more than two decades’ experience producing and directing documentaries and advertising campaigns. She credits photography for giving her a new perspective at the age of 17, adding that it became a language which connected her to people and places all over the world. “In everything I produce there is a positive outlook with emotion-driven purpose. I have a strong belief that a story is in everything. Story with direction and purpose is the doorway to optimism,” she says. See Serena’s photography in the Bali Retreat story, page 58.
