Babydoll Wines

-

A Babydoll is a rare sheep that is so small it barely reaches your knees. These happy little helpers are much-loved on the Yealands Estate vineyard – not only do they always wear a smile, their size means they are too petite to eat the grapes, so they can roam on the vineyard all year round. These tiny sheep lessen the need to mow with tractors, in turn reducing carbon emissions and producing plenty of natural fertiliser. Babydoll wines are dedicated to these woolly workers and commitment to doing things a bit differently. Its recent awards include the “Champion Sauvignon Blanc” at the Air New Zealand Wine Awards 2016 (Babydoll Sauvignon Blanc 2016) and the “Champion Pinot Gris” at the New Zealand Aromatic Wine Competition 2016 (Babydoll Pinot Gris 2016). Available at most Pak’n Save and New World supermarkets and most major liquor retail outlets. babydollwines.co.nz
