Leading global beauty company L’Oreal has been named by the Ethisphere Institute as the World’s Most Ethical Company for the eighth time! Ethisphere honours companies which recognise their role in society to influence and drive positive change, consider the impact of their actions on their employees, investors, customers and other key stakeholders and use their values and culture to underpin the decisions they make every day. For the past eight years L’Oreal has also run the Face Your Future programme in partnership with Fostering Kids NZ which empowers teenagers aged 16-18 years. L’Oreal’s sustainability commitment for 2020 ‘Sharing Beauty With All’ sets out ambitious sustainable development objectives across the group’s value chain too. In 2016 98 per cent of waste generated by L’Oreal plants and distribution centres was recovered and 69 per cent reused or recycled. And 0.2 per cent industrial waste sent to landfill.
