Lindy Davis’ article on the future of food took some digesting. Shedding light on, but not dwelling on, the grim statistics around livestock production, her article gently prods us towards alternative food consumption that is not only better for our own wellbeing, but for the preservation of our environment and billions of animals. For starters, I am inspired to think more carefully about my own convictions and lifestyle. If it’s true that 30 per cent of New Zealand’s land is farmed for livestock, we as a nation (go the millennials!) will certainly need to be bold in the pursuit of creative solutions for sustainable and alternative practices. Keep speaking up Good, we need your information flow, coupled with positive suggestions for change.

Dear lovelies at Good magazine, If a magazine reflected a personality type, mine would be your magazine. It is an incredible, feel-good read. I try to save starting it each time it arrives so that it will last longer. Every issue has a new idea to save the planet for future generations. If I had to choose a couple of favourite things they would be the non-toxic ink you lovingly use and the bookshelf column. Keep up your awesomeness.

Every time my Good magazine arrives I go through the same ritual. Excitedly, the wrapper is taken off. I flick the pages and take in the smell of the magazine. I love it so much! I then sit down and slowly go through it, taking it all in, page by page, but I don’t read it straight away I just browse. Then when I can dedicate some time for just me and my favourite magazine I get comfy and I read every single page. Thank you so much for a magazine that has me riveted from cover to cover!

Dear Good, I only recently discovered your magazine, but it guided my recent trip to New Zealand and I just want to say thank you. Because of Good, I booked and thoroughly enjoyed a massage at Tonic Room, Kingsland. From your website, I discovered and visited Scarecrow, in Auckland, twice. In one issue you profiled Crave Cafe in Morningside, Auckland – loved it! I was inspired to visit Great Barrier Island, loved the Little Bird Unbakery and have just borrowed Megan May’s book from my library. Without the magazine, I wouldn’t have found any of these places. I’m going to subscribe!

Michele Kohout, Australia Have just clicked on walks on your website - how I wish I had done that sooner - but hey, better late than never. It is excellent and motivating. Many thanks. Ann Kidd via email I just want to say Good magazine is the best. Very occasionally I will buy one other. My Good magazine is a “non negotiable for me” ... the latest issue I have just about every page “tagged” such great articles to share, and be inspired by. Good is a wonderful, ethical, very beautiful magazine that feeds one’s eyes, heart, mind and soul. I absolutely love it. Philippa Anderson via email

?? ?? How does my @goodmagazinenz know to arrive on days when both of my little treasures go to sleep at the same time so I can sit down with my pot of tea and enjoy my first flick through? Feeling ecoinspired to go and sew some pretty, reusable bags now!...
