Why should we feed our gut fibre?

Fibre feeds the good bacteria that already live in our gut. It is the only thing we eat that makes it all the way into the gut still intact. Gut bacteria goes to work, breaking it down and producing compounds that keep us healthy. It helps good bacteria like bifidobact­eria and lactobacil­lus to survive and thrive.
