Cello fest a first for Hamilton
The cello and it’s players will have a spotlight cast on them until Sunday, with the University of Waikato Conservatorium of Music’s biggest event in its history: The Waikato International Cello Fest. There has never been an event of this kind focusing on cello music and of this magnitude, said festival manager Nick Braae. The festival has stemmed from the vision of senior lecturer in cello James Tennant, who has had 52 years experience playing the cello.
