Of dreams and hopes and love brings together glimpses of stories from three dancers.

Paige is 15-years-old and is going to be a professional ballerina.

She dreams of twirling, skirts flying and pointe shoes, whispering through love, joy, heartbreak, revenge, and an ultimate act of forgiveness, in the hauntingly romantic ballet, Giselle.

Elena is a belly dancer, inspired to dance by one of the greatest love stories you’ve probably never heard of: a slave girl who captured the heart of a sultan.

He named her Hu¨rrem, ‘‘the cheerful one’’, and wrote poems to her eyes.

And the artist herself, who reads too many fantasy novels and steps into her own wondrous adventures.

Every scene invites you to be drawn in, wonder about them, and see where the stories take you, Cuthbertson said.

Of dreams and hopes and love is on at ArtsPost Galleries and Shop, Victoria St, Hamilton from May 26 until June 26.
