Seether ready to bring back rock

- MUSIC COMPETITION

On the back of their heaviest album to date, Seether have announced a most welcome and much anticipated return to New Zealand and we have a second chance to win a double to take in their Auckland show.

Intent on blasting the roof off with equal measures of ferocity and purpose, Seether is a band that knows how to connect with an audience, whilst delivering all the blood, sweat and sheer musical brutality that transports fans to a state of nirvanic rhapsody.

As well as killer tracks from Poison the Parish, such as Stoke The Fire and Let You Down, fans will be treated to a veritable hit parade of classic Seether including Broken, Fake It, Rise Above This, Fine Again, Gasoline and Remedy.

Seether are a South African rock band founded in May 1999.

Their existence is an act of rebellion, weaponised to cut through the noise with truth telling clarity and undeniable authenticity.

They are a multi-platinum rock anthem machine whose live performances are armed with soaring guitars and monster melodies delivered with an atmospheric crunch that leave fans blissfully drained.

Fifteen years into an illustrious and highly successful career, these descendants of Nirvana, Alice In Chains and Soundgarden continue to create modern, urgent and memorable music.

‘‘It’s about honesty in your music - give something to people, make people’s lives better in some way. That’s really the point,’’ Seether frontman and co-founder Shaun Morgan said. ‘Nuf said – be there! Tickets from Ticketmaster. Competition by Fill The House Tickets Project – proudly supporting families of children with cancer.

To be in to win, email your name, address and daytime telephone number(s), to hpfthcomps@gmail.com, with Seether in the subject line by midday Wednesday, May 23.
