Because of Labour weekend there was no set competition on Saturday October 20, but there was an informal stableford haggle for the few players that wanted a game of golf on such a beautiful sunny day. Results: Liz Hale 38 points; Jacquie Bain, Nan Hoggard 37; Jenny Gallaugher 36; Jenny Wilson 34; Vivienne Lilley 33; Bev Ireland 32; Robin Zinzan 31; Phillipa Harvey 30.
Members and visitors were full of praise and admiration for the condition of the course on Wednesday October 24. It was outstanding, and the greenkeepers are to be congratulated and thanked for achieving and maintaining such high standards for everyone to enjoy. The day was bright and sunny, with little wind, and nearly a third of the forty players in the field returned scores either to, or well under their handicaps in the stableford competition.

Nine Hole
It was a glorious day for golf on Tuesday October 23, and considering it was immediately after the long holiday weekend, a good many more members than expected turned up to play the mixed teams nett competition. Winners: Terry Paterson, Jean Cotterill, Barbara Schrider 29 nett. Runners up: Dot Fryett, Brian Hunter Alison Turney, Raewyn Baillie 31 nett. In third place: Glen Bennett, Brian Warren, Julia Nicholson and Keith Leaning 32 nett.
