Waihi Beach — Meet Your Com­mu­nity: Come along to the Waihi Beach Com­mu­nity Cen­tre af­ter lunch on Sun­day to meet lots of lo­cals, dis­cover new groups, clubs and or­gan­i­sa­tions, at this fun com­mu­nity expo. Bring the whole fam­ily, there’s plenty for the kids to do too — vol­un­teer fire bri­gade dis­plays, face paint­ing, crafts plus lots more. Waihi Beach Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, Beach Rd, Novem­ber 15 from 12-2.30pm.

XTERRA Trail Chal­lenge Waihi: The chal­lenge is all about get­ting peo­ple to some of the best off-road lo­ca­tions around. Novem­ber 21 at Dicky Flat Camp­ground.

Waihi Lions Gar­den Ram­ble: This year the Gar­den Ram­ble will have you vis­it­ing town and coun­try gar­dens on the south side of Waihi and East to West to Waikino. There will be light re­fresh­ments for sale and a plant stall at one of the gar­dens. Tick­ets are $20each avail­able from Waihi Mitre 10, Beach Road Gar­den Cen­tre, Waihi Beach Home and Hard­ware and Coun­try Dog Paeroa. Tick­ets will be for sale shortly. All pro­ceeds to West­pac He­li­copter and Hether­ing­ton House. Novem­ber 14-15. Repco Beach­hop: Fa­mous Rock N Roll fes­ti­val held yearly in Waihi and Whanga­mata. Repco Beach Hop is one of New Zealand best cel­e­bra­tions of the 50s & 60s. Novem­ber 25-29 through­out Whanga­mata.
