Views on liquor bid
The Hawke’s Bay District Health Board yesterday said it had considered Flaxmere Liquor’s renewal application and had not identified any concerns under the criteria for objection under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. Hastings councillor Henare O’Keefe earlier this week said he opposed the renewal and that the suburb had too many liquor outlets. In a statement the DHB said it recommended the District Licensing Committee consider a public hearing to “allow any concerned members of the community to express their views”.
