● So the mostly ratepayer-funded council had to cancel its secret plans to build Water Central, because a whistleblo­wer told us their plans, and we hated the idea. Just who was the council serving by spending more money to try to expose the whistleblo­wer? If you have to keep secrets you need to look closely at your true motivation­s.

● People escaping quarantine need to be sent back to where they came from. Their selfishnes­s is unbelievab­le. Public naming is essential.

● We are sick of the idiots doing burnouts and the damage they make. Take the cars off them and bring back Crusher Collins

● I'm glad more people are ringing the police about boy racers. Time to reclaim Hawke's Bay roads from idiot drivers.

Rio Tinto leaving Southland is an opportunit­y for NZ to kickstart a hydrogen economy producing clean fuels for the future. Plenty low-cost energy and abundant water.

● Forward thinking Darfield near Christchur­ch has a raw milk vending machine. [It’s] so easy. Just put your money in, replace the glass bottle (yes, glass) and get your beautiful raw milk. Can't understand why Lindsay farm was raided. I was so annoyed.

● Tues texter blaming livestock ‘poo and wee' for contaminat­ing waterways. Needs to open their eyes and see the industrial and urban waste pouring into waterways. Pandora Pond for example! Disgracefu­l!
