Food cost fears

There are fears many Kiwis can’t afford good food. Stats NZ reveals the price of food increased by 4.1 per cent in the year ending June 2020. The price of fruits and vegetables was a major contributor — shooting up by 10 per cent. Budgeting service Fincap’s chief executive, Tim Barnett, says it’s a worry that it is easier to buy unhealthy foods.
