Titans enjoying life in the top eight

-

It’s been seven years since the Titans entered the final six weeks of the regular season in such a lofty position but it’s a growing sign of the club’s progress that they have realistic hopes of a top-eight finish. It’s a good position to be for a side who were in turmoil off the field 18 months ago and who many picked to finish last this season. The Gold Coast outfit last night beat the Eels 34-14 to climb above the Panthers into seventh. Their night started well, jumping out to a 14-0 lead inside 20 minutes thanks to tries to Konrad Hurrell, Anthony Don and Chris McQueen, and they finished strongly with three late tries.
