HITS AND MISSES: LAURA DANIEL

- Laura Daniel stars in Funny Girls, returning for its second season to TV3 and 3now.co.nz from Friday September 30.

HIT

I’m half Cook Island Maori (I’ve been nicknamed Colour-free Raro) so a few years ago I travelled to Rarotonga with my family to discover some of my roots . . . and drink all the wine. It’s honestly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. We hired scooters to get around the island and spent a lot of time swimming in the lagoon. However, I did get hit by a reversing car at one point, so I guess that part counts as a “miss”. But I loved Raro so much that I’m planning on going back at the end of this year. (I’ve got his number plate . . . I’ll find him. Kidding!)

MISS

One time I got flown business class to South Korea and it was the most baller thing that has ever happened to me. The problem with flying business class though, is that it’s ruined all flying for me. Not too long afterwards I was flying back from Melbourne Comedy Festival in the cheapest economy seat I could possibly get, wedged between two people . . . and I had a stomach bug . . . oh boy, what I would have done for an aisle seat.
