NADIA’S NEW VENTURES

-

On Monday night, much to the confusion of local punters, Meadow restaurant in Meadowbank went into full transformation for a one-off pop up restaurant by foodie of the moment Nadia Lim.

Fifty special guests beat thousands of people who entered for a chance to win a seat at the My Food Bag event to mark the introduction of the company’s new “My Dinner Party Bag”.

With such a response, Lim should open her own restaurant, Spy reckons. Though the new mum to six-month-old Bodhi already has plenty on her plate.

“The restaurant is a ‘one night only’ fun thing to introduce our new My Dinner Party Bag, which caters for a three-course dinner party of eight, so we did this restaurant take over, like a pop up restaurant. It’s been very cool to talk to and dine with customers face to face,” she told Spy.

In just over a week, Lim will walk in the footsteps of US lifestyle gurus like Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart and launch her own magazine,

Nadia, We hear staff are crazily running around sorting out the final touches.

“I’m super-excited about the magazine coming out — it’s looking awesome, and I just want to make sure it’s got heaps of useful content for people in it. The magazine celebrates life’s simple pleasures and how to live a ‘well-thy’ life — good food, family, friends, adventures that you can have in your own backyard and afar, that kind of thing.

“There’s also a whole section dedicated to my awesome fans — what they’re loving, doing, cooking, and their tips and ideas.”

But the business titan is not stopping any time soon, and baby Bodhi will be along for the ride. “Ha ha — yes I have Bodhi on my hip a lot. “There’s lots more to do. In a lot of ways, this is just the beginning.

“I’m someone who has been lucky enough to realise my dreams alongside a great group of talented people. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by others with a common vision and who share what I love. I’m pretty proud of that,” she said.
