A bit of light drama; a lot of nice scenery

The Durrells Prime, Wednesday, 8.30pm One of the publicity stills for this new series shows the eponymous family sitting and standing around a table groaning with Mediterranean produce, in the shin-high clear blue water of some perfect Corfu beach, with some lovely islands off in the distance. Based on the autobiographY of famous British naturalist Gerald Durrell, it has been a hit in Britain and a second season has already been commissioned. Reviews have often mentioned that the show is endearing and warm, but almost without exception, they’ve mentioned that it’s really, really pretty.
