Another big New Zealand story

Jean TVNZ1, Sunday, 8.30pm At the rate TVNZ is screening big-deal dramatisations of New Zealand’s most important historical moments, by about mid-2017, we will be completely out of stories. The big question to ask about this week’s story — of worldleading aviator of the 1930s Jean Batten — is not whether it will be worth watching, but whether all this high-intensity Sunday night event television might be taking its toll on viewers.
