SHE FEELS LIKE DANCING

-

In April last year, dancer Candy Lane split with her husband of more than 20 years, businessman Chris Jones. A season judging on TV3’s Dancing With the Stars NZ followed for the household name, as well as mixing it up with her gal pals at numerous events around town. But has the dancing queen found love again? Last week the gorgeous Lane was spotted out with the handsome Ricky Hancock arm in arm over three nights. They attended Billy Elliot the Musical at the new ASB Waterfront Theatre last Wednesday, were spotted at a Parnell hotspot on Friday night and then last Sunday radiated in each other’s company on the red carpet at the premiere of the Priscilla Queen of the Desert musical at the Civic. And Spy is told that at the Wintergarden after party the pair were cosy. When asked about the development, Lane would only say: “We are close friends.” Spy understands the pair work together in Mt Eden at Candy Lane Dance Studios/Dance Mechanics and have known each other from the dance world for many years. Hancock, who has recently returned to New Zealand from overseas, is a dancer also. Like Lane, Hancock knows how to maintain youthful looks, and is the founder of The Shadow Clinic — which he opened in 2009. He has been involved in the beauty and cosmetic tattooing industry for a number of years and is an accredited, nationally recognised Cosmetic Micro Pigmentation technician.
