MUMM’S THE WORD
The Champagne of Racing, Mumm, will dominate most of the Melbourne Cup lunches across Auckland on Tuesday, including at Ellerslie racecourse.
And two of Auckland’s Housewives, Michelle Blanchard and Gilda
Kirkpatrick have been invited to the E! Channel’s Maison Mumm marquee in The Birdcage at Flemington at Oaks Day on Thursday.
The two have been described to attending guests and media as the breakout stars of Auckland’s version of the franchise. But, what, no invite for the others?
We hear Louise Wallace is not fussed about not making the Melbourne jaunt as she will be in her apartment in Orange County (another home of The Housewives,) for the US elections. Champagne Lady Anne Batley Burton would likely look down her nose at Mumm — but we hear Angela Stone and Julia Sloane may have liked an invitation.
Blanchard and Kirkpatrick have been working on their race day glows in Hawaii and Fiji respectively. The girls have top billing alongside Hollywood names E! News anchor
Maria Menounos; Devious Maids star and former Melrose Place heartthrob Grant Show and Devious Maids and Satisfaction star Katherine LaNasa. Guests in the Melbourne marquee will be treated to world class entertainment from Rosé Soleil, a performance group that has handselected the best entertainers from around the world, from Cirque du Soleil and others.
