Mitchell ‘wants Spencer at Bulls’

Former All Blacks first-five Carlos Spencer is reportedly in line for an assistant coaching role at the Bulls. The struggling South African side recently announced the appointmen­t of New Zealander John Mitchell as their executive of rugby, with Mitchell — who is busy completing his duties as United States head coach — set to join the team next month. He will coach the Bulls’ Super Rugby team, and according to Sport24, Spencer is on Mitchell’s wish-list and he could be roped in as backline consultant at the Pretoria franchise. Spencer is an assistant coach at Japanese club Munakata Sanix Blues.
