Large blaze

Multiple fire crews and helicopters continued to battle a blaze caused by an out of control burn-off near Te Anau yesterday. The wildfire covered 1315 hectares and broke out on farm and conservation land on Friday night, about 10km west of Te Anau. No residential properties were endangered but pine plantations have been affected.
