Thompson joins Leigh Centurions

Warriors forward Bodene Thompson has joined Leigh Centurions on a two-year contract, Fairfax reported. Leigh coach Neil Jukes said Thompson’s signing was a big coup for the team, who will drop down to play in England’s second tier competition, the Championship, after losing 26-10 in Super League’s Million Pound Game to Catalan Dragons. “Bodene is a hard running, tough tackling edge player which is pretty much everything you want from someone in that position,” Jukes said. Thompson made 58 appearances across three NRL seasons with the Warriors but lost form during the past year.
