How long will the zombie apocalypse last? The answer, as we enter season eight of The Walking Dead, is at least 100 episodes. Although the last few seasons have been as outrageous and gore-filled as ever, critics have slowly started to tire and pick holes in the fabric of the show,

but the eighth season promises all out mayhem that might blow away petty quibbles about character and thematic development.
