THE NEW WARRIOR FAMILY ON THE BLOCK

-

Awarm Auckland welcome to the Blair family. New Vodafone Warriors’ forward Adam and his wife Jess are settling into life in Auckland with their two sons, Harlem ,7and Taika ,1.

Adam has been in Auckland setting up for a month and welcomed his family at Auckland airport last week.

The Whangarei-born former Broncos’ star told Spy the heatwave was similar to what they experienced living in Brisbane, but he was thrilled to have his family all in his homeland. NZ superstar director Taika Waititi can indeed take some credit for the younger Blair’s name. “Yes, we are fans of Taika, I wanted a Maori name for my son and we both loved the way it sounds.” 31-year-old Adam said.

Jess, 32, is a naturopath and well known on social media for her health and wellness advice. The former bodybuilder has enrolled to do

papers in health and government related issues at Auckland University.

“We are living in Westmere and we love it,” Adam said. “Jess did the research on where to live and the health-related stores in our area are second to none. The area is great for the kids and couldn’t be more perfect for us.”

Adam is enjoying his new team and has high hopes for the coming season. He says the training so far has been a great team-building exercise.

And thanks to Adam, you can expect to see a little more of the Warriors — he has given the team a new secret weapon: Budgie Smugglers.

“Ha, I did indeed get the boys Warriorscoloured Budgies. I was wearing mine and you know it’s a cultural thing in Aussie it’s just normal and some of the boys asked about them, so I got the whole team pairs, a few of the boys are now wearing them too.”
