Club.

Kiwis first opened their wallets to Lotto tickets – and tuned into the live draw – 31 years ago. Division 1 back then was for $360,000 (the equivalent to $725,000 in 2018) and long queues were commonplace outside many outlets up and down the country. The biggest ever win was $44.06 million, claimed in late 2016. All Lotto profits are returned to the community – with $4.3 billion being raised in funding since its launch; including $272 million in 2017.

Prince George will today be blowing out the candles on his fifth birthday cake. The first child of Prince William and Princess Catherine was born at St Mary’s Hospital, London. Twenty-one gun salutes in the UK, New Zealand, Bermuda and Canada welcomed his arrival. Prince George visited New Zealand with his parents in 2014. In September 2017 he attended his first day at primary school.
