Top-drawer tour for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex

-

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were greeted by huge cheers and offered warm smiles in return at the opening ceremony for the Invictus games at Sydney’s Opera House last night.

She wore a grey-blue dress and dark blue coat and he a matching blue tie to go with his smart grey suit to the glamorous event that was delayed by more than hour because of thunderstorms.

Earlier Meghan and Harry arrived alongside Prime Minister Scott Morrison and NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian at the Opera House’s Bennelong restaurant at the opera house for a reception.

The Duchess’ coat was by former X-Files star turned fashion designer, Gillian Anderson, who has created a capsule collection for London label Winser.

The pair also cut a polished picture at the opening of the Anzac Memorial in Sydney.

The pregnant royal, 37, wore a black ankle-length dress by Emilia Wickstead, born in Auckland but living in London, at the opening of the Anzac Memorial in Sydney.

The dress choice was said to be a nod to New Zealand during the service.

It seems the Duchess of Sussex has spared no cost when it comes to her tour wardrobe Downunder, wearing nearly $32,000 worth of designer outfits in just four days.

Wickstead has been a favourite for Meghan and the royal family — she wore one of her designs at an Anzac Day service in April.

At Bondi Beach on Friday, Meghan sported a striped maxi dress by Australian designer Martin Grant and earrings by New Zealand designer Karen Walker.

A spokeswoman for the brand said they were Temptation studs in nine carat gold with pearl.
