has proven to be a fairly faithful interpretation of the British original, thank heavens. But there’s one thing no overseas franchise can replicate, and that’s Mary Berry. Here she is, though, in a new show that sounds a bit like
only with a slightly broader remit. In this week’s premiere episodes the contestants vying for the title of Britain’s Best Home Cook have to make a burger (with at least two sides). Can you imagine Mary Berry eating a burger? This is the definition of must-see television.

10 episodes have moments that turn the supernatural terror up as far as it will go but it also knows when to dial it down to allow for those often overlooked things like story and character development.
