Wellington blaze

-

More than 50 firefighters were last night battling a bush fire in Wadestown, Wellington. The blaze broke out shortly before 4pm in the city’s green belt about 100m from homes. By 8pm it was contained, but still not out. A Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman said it had taken time to get the fire under control because it was in difficult, hilly terrain.
