Weirdly not the only new show this month to feature a landline telephone in the year 2020, The Baby-Sitters Club at least goes to the effort of having Kristy explain that she brought the retro device off Etsy for the express purpose of fielding calls for her newly-founded Baby-Sitters Club. She’d probably have been better off designing an app for that these days but what can ya do, you can’t reboot an iconic 1990s title without bowing to nostalgia a little bit. All the old faves are back for this warm-hearted update that won’t alienate fans of Anne M. Martin’s original series of books, and may even appeal to their children.
