Friends of HOME
You like us! We’ve just completed a two-month research project, in association with Blunt, which landed on my desk with a thunk the other day. It made for fascinating reading. In short: 90 per cent of you think we’re doing a really good job; an overwhelming majority of you have taken action from something you’ve seen in the magazine and your favourite cover this year was ‘Big Little’, our small-home special, which featured a perfect little bush hut near Punakaiki on the cover. When we asked what you wanted to see more of, you said – and why is this surprising? – more houses please, so watch this space as we introduce more homes each issue.
We always love hearing from our readers, and I’d like to thank all those who participated in the research project. As well as being insightful, reading through the results has been a pretty humbling exercise for everyone who works on the magazine. Though my favourite comment was less about the magazine and more about the homes. “They are so ‘New Zealand’ in flavour but in a sophisticated, elegant kind of way – they are beautiful and inspiring yet still achievable.”
Finally, we’ve just started an e-newsletter featuring beautiful architecturally designed homes, inspiring spaces, the latest trends in furniture and exclusive invitations to events – plus bespoke digital content. To subscribe, visit homemagazine.co.nz/signup. And we’re also giving away five bottles of Ingrid Starnes ‘Vetyver Bergamot’ eau de parfum worth $210 to five early subscribers. We’d love you to join us for more inspiring design ideas and content.
