THE DESIGN

With high-pitched and comparatively low ceilings all within the same space, this ensuite was a challenge to design, but the result is a spacious, functional bathroom with a hotel-like sense of luxury.

The custom-designed floating mirror cupboards bring a refined elegance to the room and are set above pale bespoke sinks and vanity tops and glossy black lacquered cabinetry. To keep the look clean and uncluttered, the power points are hidden in the drawers.

The low ceiling of the tiled shower gives it a spa-like feel behind the glass door. Black Italian porcelain wall tiles complete with a recessed shelf form a striking textured backdrop to the freestanding bath.

The materials and finishes used here were carefully chosen to reflect the beauty of the rest of the home and are enhanced by soft, subtle lighting, creating a tranquil sanctuary in which to relax. •
