THE DESIGN

As part of the refurbishment of a small apartment, one wall of this kitchen was removed and replaced with a slatted, stained timber screen to obscure this room from the living area. To encourage a crisp, clean look, the material palette was deliberately kept to a minimum and as many appliances as possible were integrated. The compact island provides additional bench and storage space, and a great transition from food-prep zone to drinks and entertaining area. Soft oak flooring and the smart use of LED strip lighting complete the picture.
