Donate shopping bags for art projects

-

Greenheart Hub Trust now has a donation box at Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom in Foxton for used plastic shopping bags.

The Trust’s bag recycling team meets at Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom every Friday to turn those bags into usable items.

Levin watercolourist artist Dennis Greenwood held a painting workshop at the hub last Sunday.

Greenheart Hub trustee Rachel Oneill is organising another beach clean-up along Foxton Beach this Sunday September 16, from 11am to 1pm, meeting at the Foxton Beach estuary.

Four Bees wax wrap workshops are now fully booked. If you still want to join let Amba know.

“It is great to see there is a lot of interest in finding a replacement to glad wrap,” said Amba.

The Trust’s workshop are a hit. “Workshops have been going great, and we have had a lot of positive feedback.

“So far 45 people have taken part in our workshops from the beginning of August.

“We have 18 volunteer plastic bag recyclers in our team now.” Greenheart Hub Trust 0276008638 greenheart.r.r@outlook.com
