Trustee profile

-

This week Trustee Paul Andersen talks about his involvement with the trust, which is trying to set up an art recycling hub at the racecourse in Foxton.

“I moved to Foxton Beach in 2003. In 2004 Sheryl Rogers and I started the Foxton Arts Club, which operated for 12 years until the building was demolished to make room for the Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom. During the first five years I was the president of the Foxton Art Club.

For the last 12 years I have been involved in building stage sets for the Foxton Little Theatre.

I got involved with the Greenheart Hub Trust because I liked their aims and objectives, and upcycled art is my forte. A majority of my art works have evolved from upcycled materials. Some examples of my work can be viewed at the SEA Galley Foxton Beach.

My heroes are Salvador Dali and Keith Richards.
