Five cafes and restaurant­s are taking part in the second annual Horowhenua Dish Promotion: Little White Rabbit, Salt and Pepper Cafe´ , Cafe´ Royale (Palmerston North), Focal Point Levin, and Ocean Beach Eatery all have a special dish on their menu which features one of our Horowhenua Taste Trail Producers, and we have to say, the menu is delicious!

Ocean Beach Eatery: Tendertips Asparagus Risotto

Little White Rabbit: Ultimate Egg poached egg + Tendertips Asparagus, smoked salmon, dill cream fraiche, topped with toasted seeds and nuts

Cafe´ Royale: Herbed polenta cake with sauteed greens, topped with portobello mushrooms and caramelise­d onion. A free-range egg is optional.

Salt and Pepper Cafe´ : Crispy wontons, filled with Turk’s chicken, and Woodhaven Gardens spinach, topped with garlic buttered Tendertips asparagus, and finished with a Genoese pesto basil drizzle

Focal Point Levin: Woody’s Free Range Pork Ribs with charred pineapple salsa, parmesan crumb, potato and beetroot chips

Dishes are on the menu from November 1-23.
