Levin sale was well attended but not enough stock.
Calves: Four day old calves B/B x $100-$220, F/H bulls $100-$150, x-breed $40-$80.
Sheep: Old fat ewes $100-$150, old season lambs $140, new season lambs $120-$145, ewes and lambs $98. Cattle: Yearling HFD steers $750-$950, F/H steers $840, F/H heifers $770-$800, weaner heifers $450.
Next week’s sale will have 10 F/H yearling steers, 10 Angus yearling steers, 20 yearling Hereford heifers, 20 yearling F/H heifers, 10 yearling Angus friesian heifers, 20 weaner heifers.

There was a good selection of both yearling and 2 year cattle at Rongotea, with the better bred cattle selling after good rain this week, New Zealand Farmers Livestock agent Darryl Harwood reported.
2 year Friesian bulls 357 kg made $910 and an 18 month Speckle Park cross bull 485 kg made $1700. 2 year Friesian — Hereford steers 320 kg — 685 kg traded between $2.44 and $2.96/kg while 2 year Friesian steers 552 kg made $1440, Angus cross steers 491 kg made $1300 and White Galloway cross steers 422 kg made $1160.
2 year Friesian — Hereford heifers 300 kg — 460 kg traded between $2.42 and $2.80/kg and Angus cross heifers 465 kg made $1140.
Yearling Friesian — Hereford steers 226 kg — 366 kg traded from $2.34 — $2.80/kg and Angus cross steers 260 kg made $680.
Yearling Friesian bulls 195 kg — 325 kg made $500 — $810, Friesian — Hereford bulls 257 kg made $690 and Angus cross bulls 299 kg made $850.
Yearling Friesian — Hereford heifers 221 kg — 386 kg traded from $2.58 — $2.93/kg and Friesian heifers 312 kg made $710.
In the weaner pens, Friesian bulls 88 kg — 102 kg made $400 — $500 and Friesian — Hereford bulls 91 kg made $450. Friesian — Hereford steers 97 kg — 195 kg made $480 — $575 and Angus cross steers 110 kg made $505.
Friesian — Hereford heifers 98 kg — 170 kg made $440 — $500 and Angus cross heifers 102 kg made $445.
Friesian bull calves made $140, Hereford Friesian bull calves $120 — $330 and Angus cross bull calves $150- $210. Hereford Friesian heifer calves made $100 — $220 and Angus cross heifer calves $150.
