Levin Racing vote

Levin Racing Club members have voted against a proposal to join RACE Inc. The club held a special general meeting at Levin Cosmopolitan Club on Sunday to consider joining the RACE Inc group, a corporate amalgamation of Wellington, Manawatu¯ , Rangitikei, Marton and Feilding clubs. Levin Racing Club members voted 36-24 against the proposal. The club will hold its annual general meeting in October.

August 27: All games are four 10-minute quarters. Intervals are 2 mins, 3 mins, 2 mins. Duty: 8.30-9.30am Horowhenua Snr A* Wanderers Cyclones, 10am Waiopehu Snr Black Nua Eagles: Put goal post pads out; rubbish bins out. Ensure all scorecards have been collected by umpires and taken to courts before the next round starts. Cover umpire duties not fulfilled by rostered umpires. The full team please report to upstairs for duty.

Duty end of day: Teams on Court 5 at noon: Bring in goal post pads; rubbish bins; chairs. Take wheelie bins around and pick up any rubbish inside and out. Umpires: All Prem 1 & 2 and College teams should check for umpiring duties — there might be more than one. Umpire duties marked with an *asterisk are before your first playing game. Primary grades provide own umpires unless stated otherwise.

If you have employed the services of a youth umpire, the going rate is $5 per game.
